Please use the checklist below to ensure all your documents are in order. All applications must include the items listed below the heading “All Applicants”. Depending on what category you qualify under, please refer to the applicable section for the additional documents required for your application submission. Some variations in eligibility documentation exist between the Vital Homes Ownership and Rental programs, be sure to read through the below checklist thoroughly!

☐ 2 Pieces of ID (one with photo and one confirming legal status in Canada). Please note that adult applicants should be entered as Applicants or Co-Applicants, children can be entered as Additional Household   Members. One piece of ID (birth certificate/passport/Permanent Residency card) will be required for children as part of Rental application.

☐ 2025 Tax Notice of Assessment from CRA (must show line 15000)

☐ Mortgage Pre-Qualification Letter (for Vital Homes Ownership program only)

☐ 3 Most recent pay slips demonstrating a minimum average of 20 (Vital Homes Rent) / 30 hours (Vital Homes Own) of work per week or signed Employment Contract / Job Offer (if you have just begun employment and do not have 3 pay slips)

☐ Letter of Employment (for Vital Homes Own program)

☐ Employee (Part-time, Own program only)

☐ 3 Most recent pay slips, demonstrating a minimum average of 20 hours per week or Employment Contract (if you have recently begun employment and do not have 3 pay slips)

☐ Letter of Employment

☐ Proof of current residency and a minimum of 12 months residency history

OR

☐ Self Employed

☐  Current Town of Canmore Business License

☐  Proof of Business Ownership

☐  Letter of Hours (a brief letter outlining the hours per week spent on the business and breakdown of duties)

☐  Proof of current residency and a minimum of 12 months residency history

OR

☐  Retiree

☐ Verification of Retirement Benefit (T4A Annual Statements for OAS/CPP/etc.)

☐ Proof of current Canmore Residency (Lease & Landlord Contact or Property Tax Assessment)

☐ Proof of past Canmore Residency (Lease & Landlord Contact or Property Tax Assessment). This and the current residency must total 60 months of residency in the last 10 years.

☐ 3 years of T4 statements from a Canmore employer or Record of Employment (ROE) supporting 3 years of employment in Canmore.

OR

☐  Disability Benefit (Rent Program Only)

☐ Verification of Disabiliy Benefit (ADAP/AISH Statements)

☐ Proof of current Canmore Residency (Lease & Landlord Contact or Property Tax Assessment)

☐ Proof of past Canmore Residency (Lease & Landlord Contact or Property Tax Assessment). This and the current residency must total 60 months of residency in the last 10 years.

☐ 3 years of T4 statements from a Canmore employer or Record of Employment (ROE) supporting 3 years of employment in Canmore.

☐ Proof of current Canmore Residency (Lease & Landlord Contact or Property Tax Assessment)

☐ Proof of past Canmore Residency (Lease & Landlord Contact or Property Tax Assessment). This and the current residency must total 60 months of residency in the last 10 years

FOR VITAL HOMES RENTAL APPLICANTS ONLY, YOU MUST ALSO PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING IF APPLYING AS A LONG TERM RESIDENT:

☐ Three (3) most recent pay slips OR Signed offer of employment if you accepted a job offer and have yet to receive three (3) pay slips for Bow Valley employment.
